Thunder, Music, and a matter of perception

This little flower, a poppy supposedly blooms only one day accordingto an older gardener friend. However i grew up with poppies in my yard and I remember longer bloosoms than that. Perhaps it’s all a matter of perspective.

If you were to talk to some people, especially younger folks, “There’s nothing going on in town.” This translates to: They don’t bring in the bands I like.”

However, perhaps we could all learn to expand our openess to listening to music and then there would be more happening than anyone could take in! Take a look at the following from “The Alibi” for today. This is a list for mostly Santa Fe and Albuquerque. This is for one night. Go to www.alibi.com and see all that’s playing all weekend long! Plus there’s music on the plaza in Santa Fe tonight, and a very full weekend of music in Taos. That’s just 3 cities in NM. One could explore Farmington, Las Cruces, Las Vegas, NM, Rio Rancho, Socorro, to name just a few and still find a lot more!

Let me remind you too, there’s plenty being presented in other art productions too. Need more information? Check out: www.albuquerquearts.com and the Paseotempo tomoorw in The New Mexican, The Alibi Paper, Five magazine, New Mexico Kids….the list also goes on. There’ll be reviews and much more.

So once again, since the following is a quote, clip from The Alibi on-line calendar, July 12 2007,
also while you are there, take time to read some reviews, check out where to buy food from local farmers, and enjoy!
