Middle of the Week and SO much to do!Questions?

I was going to do a one photo night, but when I randomly picked a photo that I really liked from an older batch, I decided to try again. Presto stories emerged.
First, an old New Englander finds joy in old teams. The Red Sox won the world series! Cool. I don’t know the details and I didn’t hoopla on my AOL site (go figure). They won in 4 games: truly amazing.
Back to New Mexico. The flower and pebbles is a clse-up of the dleicacies that few see here. It was life surviving and blooming during DROUGHT. Achievement in an arid terrain where living can be most challenging. Abundance where some see only lack. Joy and creativity. Sustainability. Life reaching out, expressing self, connected to its relations:earth. Sharing and contributing to community. Peace. And so it is. Got a flower and pebbles in your life?
Although, I can see the big picture, and love to drift of into wide skies and mesa tops, or abound in amazing ranchland glowing with chamisa, I adore the mystery and strengths of little things that many would never stop to see, appreciate or consider. Yellow mushroom after rain. Last fall we had rain, for us lots of rain. I broke away from my daily routine, grabbed my camera and headed for the “mountain” (Santa Fe Ski basin). I stopped at a little used trail and was like a science in love kid witnessing the changes. Overnight (almost) the forest floor was transformed. So many mushrooms, varieties, shapes. I speculated that the tall pine, ponderosa pines, and other strong big trees were laughing as I scuttled about clicking away amongst the under-growth. I have yet to create the book that I planned, but alas the intensity of new discovery and relationship. New shape and scent. The complete absorbtion in the moment.
We all are connected as deeply as the forest flora. There’s little fuss amongst the orest: all species belong there together. Oneness is. The pine cone falls and feeds many. The needles and leaves provide ground cover. The deep roots hold the earth and her nutrients together. Rocks and boulders provide strength, shelter, and homes for many. Here, in this vanishing environment, we can renew too. How quickly humans forget these relationships, and the awe such beauty can inspire. We must remember to honor these worlds too. TO nuture instead of
destroy. The yellow mushroom doesn’t always grow, but springs forth brillantly with just enough rain.
Add sustainable thoughts here often. The world deserves the chance to survive. Come back soon to New Mexico and cherish our diversity. Mary MacIntyre
