I have some exotic lilies blossoming, squash plants getting ready to make squash and have to ask where has summer gone? Four more weeks….plus lots of schools open in mid August round here. This is the time to do some extra family fun, get outside more AND, if you are coming to New Mexico be sure to check out the entertainment.
Native style, there’ll be a powwow, walk/run, fun and lots of food, and of course MUSIC in Poquaque and the Camel Rock Casino.
Recently I was talking about RTE 66 and all the Albuquerque stops. This weekend KOAT did a special on Gallup and they have lots of events including lots of music, almost all month long. So if you coming east from the west: spend a day or night in Gallup.
Here’s a few more line-ups: go to desertchorale.org
for their upcoming concerts. If this link doesn’t work try the desertchorale.org. I’m hoping to catch a Chamber music concert this Thursday at St Francis Auditorium.
Sandia Resort and Casino has 6 big name concerts in August. Los Lonely boys, Sparx, Steve Miller Band Gipsy Kings, Hootie and the Blowfish, Heart. Like something there? Give a listen, get tickets at; ticketmaster.com
Well there will be lots more news coming up! Imagine, if you wanted to be a night owl you could have music every night here in the great state of NM! So get out and support these great events, and of course, have fun.
